Assassin's Creed: Rouge

For long we have been playing as assassins, ever wondered how it's from other perspective? From a Templar perspective? This instalment of Assassin's Creed series gives you the insight of Templar world from the view of Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin turned Templar.

Set in 1752, Assassin's Creed: Rouge starts with narratives of Shay Patrick Cormac, an Irishman, where we can see him being trained as an Assassin.Skilled Shay, a little undisciplined though, manages to earn attention and trust of his mentor Achilles. He comes to know about a manuscript and a box which shows the probable locationsof ‘piece of Eden’ known as precursor sites. Shay gets the responsibility to retrieve the box and the manuscript which was tracked by Adewale. Aided by his trusted friend Liam, Shay reaches to Lawrence Washington, who was already dying from tuberculosis and assassinates him in his garden party only to know it was a diversion to preventthe box falling in brotherhood’s hand.Further investigations leads Shay to Samuel Smith. Shay assassinates him and retrieves the box. With his ally Hope Jansen, he reaches to Benjamin Franklin to decipher the mystery of the box. After the successful electrocution, the box projects a world map with markings of locations showing precursor sites.

Enthusiastic by the lead, Shay heads for Lisbon, Portugal and finds the gateway of the precursor site through a church but by his surprise there was not piece of Eden, only a strange looking artifact which gets destroyed as soon as Shay tries to pick it up, it triggers a massive earthquake (Great Lisbon Earthquake, 1755) and destroys the city. Shay manages to escape but starts to blame himself and brotherhood for the tragedy. He remember that such earthquake happened in Haiti too when Adewale’s man tried to get the artifact.

Shay gets back to homestead and blames Achilles for the tragedies and begs him for not to attempt such expedition anymore but Achilles paid no heed. Infuriated Shay tries to steal the notebook of Achilles and tries to get away despite of being chased by fellow Assassins. Near a cliff Shay gets shots and falls in sea.

He wakes up in New York, under the care of Barry & Cassidy Finnigan & comes to know that the men of Cornell James Monroe rescued him half drowned. Despite being a Templar, Monroe attracts Shay's admiration for his noble intention towards the city & joins him to clear the city from grips of hoodlums under Assassin banner. He rescues Christopher Gist from being hanged and earned his loyalty. Shay comes to know about the sinister plans of Assassin brotherhood to gas the city & swore to protect the it. In the mean time Cornell Monroe gets killed & upon his wish Templar order includes Shay in their circle. Now, it is time for Shay to fight against Hope, Liam, Kesegowaase, Achilles....whom once he called friends.
